What should I bring to my 1st PT appointment?Prescription from your doctor Insurance card Paperwork you received from us and filled out prior to your first appointment. If you do not have your paperwork, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early and we will give it to you to fill out. We suggest bringing any imaging pertinent to your condition (X-ray, MRI, etc.)

What forms of payment do you accept for copays?Copays can be paid in cash or check made out to "Physical Therapy Services." Copays are collected at the time of your appointment. We ask that you pay your copay balance at the end of every week. If your insurance does not pay for the entire session (deductible, copay, co-insurance, etc.), you are responsible for the remaining balance. Our billing manager will bill this balance to you via a patient statement in the mail. The balance can be paid by cash or check only.

Do I have to contact my insurance company prior to coming for PT?Nope! Our secretary and billing manager, will call your insurance to verify your benefits for physical therapy prior to your first appointment. They will find out if you have a copay, co-insurance, deductible, and visit limit. Copays are paid at the time of your visit by either cash or check. Co-insurance and deductibles will be billed to you via a patient statement. If you have any questions about your physical therapy benefits from your insurance, give us a call. Do I need a prescription from my doctor for physical therapy?No! If you plan on privately paying for physical therapy (not going through insurance), you do not need a prescription for physical therapy. If you are planning on going through you health insurance, it is up to your insurance benefits if you need a prescription or not! Not all plans require a presciption. If you have Medicare Part B as your primary insurance, a prescription is REQUIRED for physical therapy. Please call our office with any insurance questions you may have (973) 835-6115

What should I wear to my 1st PT appointment?We ask you wear loose fitting, comfortable clothes. If your hip or knee is being treated, we suggest you wear or bring shorts with you. If you do not have shorts, we have shorts you can wear for your session.

Do you treat children at your PT office?Yes, we treat school-aged children with orthopedic injuries. Please call our office for further details.

Is your office wheelchair accessible?Yes, we have a ramp on the side of our office for wheelchairs and patients that have difficulty going up stairs. We are more than happy to assist you from your car to the office if you are unable to walk in by yourself.

Who do you provide physical therapy to?We provide all age ranges of patients with physical therapy near Pompton Plains and the surrounding area.

Where should I park when coming for physical therapy?We have a private parking lot located in the back of our building. There is an entrance from Prospect Ave.

Do I have to wear a face mask in the office?At this time, face masks are optional.
